Recommended beaches outside Barcelona
info
If you feel like discovering the more authentic beaches of Catalonia and get away from the concentrations of tourists, we recommend that you catch a train from the Estación de Sants train station to towns close by. You have two options:
Beaches to the south (trains going to Vilanova or Sant Vicenç): Where we recommend the beaches of Castelldefels, Garraf and Sitjes. They are no more than 30 minutes from Barcelona.
Beaches to the north (trains going to Blanes, Maçanet Massanes, Calella and Mataró): We recommend the beaches of Mongat, Ocata/El Masnou, and Cabrera de Mar. Likewise, these beaches are no more than 30 minutes by train from Barcelona Sants.
